Hey East Nashville drivers,
I’ve been doing a lot of nighttime driving lately for gig work—mainly food delivery and rideshare—and I’m curious if anyone else noticed a spike in premiums because of it?
From what I’ve seen and heard:
  • Driving late at night is considered higher risk by most insurers.
  • Some policies adjust rates based on driving times, especially if you’re on the road during hours with more accidents.
  • If you’re doing rideshare or delivery, it may even require a different type of coverage.
I’m currently shopping around for car insurance quotes in Nashville, and a few companies definitely asked if I drive for work during the night. It seems like being honest about it can either help you find the right plan—or cost you more upfront.
Just wondering…
  • Has anyone seen rate increases from night driving in East Nashville?
  • Did switching insurers help?
  • Is a commercial or gig endorsement really worth it?
Let me know your thoughts or experiences. Could use some input before I make a switch.
