Hey everyone,
Just wanted to ask — has anyone here recently gone through the court marriage in Karachi? I'm looking into it with my partner, and we’re trying to figure out what to expect. We’ve read a bit online, but honestly, some of the info feels either outdated or a bit confusing.
We heard that it can all be done in a single day if your documents are ready, but then someone else told us it could take a few days depending on the union council and where you're doing it from. We’re both over 18, have our CNICs, and our families are mostly on board — just trying to avoid any unexpected issues.
Also, if anyone knows whether you still need a lawyer to handle the paperwork or if it's doable on your own, would love to hear your thoughts.
I found this basic guide helpful but not sure how accurate it is now.
