CESR stands for Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration. It is a route offered by the General Medical Council (GMC) in the UK for doctors who have not completed a GMC-approved UK training program (CCT – Certificate of Completion of Training) but wish to be recognized as specialists and join the GMC’s Specialist Register.
