Hey everyone,
I've recently started diving deeper into mutual fund investing and wanted to get some advice from those who’ve been doing it for a while. I used to rely mostly on fixed deposits and recurring deposits, but with inflation being what it is, I figured it was time to explore better options — especially through SIPs.
One area that caught my attention is small cap mutual funds. I’ve read that while they are riskier compared to large caps, they also offer significant growth potential if held for the long term. I’m in my early 30s, so I’m open to a bit of calculated risk, and I think small caps might be a smart move if chosen wisely.
Now here’s my dilemma — with so many platforms available these days, how do you decide which one to use? I’ve tried a couple of mobile apps, but most of them are either too cluttered or too basic. I’m looking for something reliable, simple to use, and rich in features.
In your opinion, what’s the best platform for SIP investments right now? I’m hoping to find one that not only lets me invest easily but also provides good insights, fund performance comparisons, SIP calculators, and maybe even personalized recommendations.
Also, do you prefer investing directly through AMC websites or do you use third-party platforms? I’m leaning towards third-party platforms because of the convenience factor, but I also want to ensure the tracking and reporting are accurate and transparent.
If anyone here is regularly investing in small cap mutual funds, I’d love to hear your strategy. Do you go with well-known fund houses, or do you explore lesser-known ones with emerging portfolios? I’m also curious if you follow any particular metrics before choosing a small cap fund.
Let’s share some knowledge here. I’m sure there are a lot of people in the same boat, looking for the right platform and the right funds. Appreciate any thoughts, suggestions, or personal experiences you can share!
Thanks in advance!
