Hey everyone,
Just wanted to see if anyone else has dealt with this. My 7-month-old female Caucasian Shepherd has started acting pretty aggressive toward strangers lately. Like, barking nonstop if someone new comes over, and even lunging a bit when we’re out walking and pass people too close. She’s totally chill with family and friends she knows, but it’s like strangers = instant threat.
I knew the breed was protective going into this, but I’m wondering if this is just a puppy phase or something I need to seriously address now. She’s smart, listens well in other areas, but this part is throwing me off.
I’ve been trying to work on socializing her more, but honestly, it’s not easy when she reacts this strongly. Thinking of maybe getting some professional help if this keeps up.
