I’ve been doing some serious research for a luxury train trip across India and stumbled upon the Maharajas’ Express Train, often described as the pinnacle of rail opulence. Naturally, one of my first questions was: How much does a single ticket cost?

- Worth the price? It's absolutely steep, but it is all-inclusive—meals, excursions, accommodation, guided tours, and more are part of the package. Definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience if you can stretch the budget.
- Route matters. The 7-night trips offer broader coverage across iconic sights, while the 4-night Treasures of India gives a stronger value-per-day ratio if you're short on time or budget.
- Seasonal fluctuations. I read that traveling in off-peak months might save you some money—worth watching for deals Maharajas’ Express.
