Has anyone here tried pre-kindergarten homeschool programs with their kids?
#1
My little one is turning four, and I’ve been debating whether to start something structured at home before kindergarten. I don’t mean super intense lessons or anything, but more like short activities that make learning fun letters, numbers, and maybe some early science or art projects. I’ve looked into a few pre-kindergarten homeschool programs, and honestly it’s a little overwhelming. Some are super detailed with daily schedules, while others are more like “here’s a bucket of activities, pick what works.”

We’ve been experimenting with a mix of story time, puzzles, and simple tracing sheets, and so far it’s been going okay. The hardest part for me is staying consistent without making it feel like “school school.” I don’t want my kid to get bored before they even start kindergarten.

I came across this guide the other day. It had some decent ideas for keeping things playful.

If you’ve done pre-kindergarten homeschool stuff, what worked best for you — more structure or more flexibility?
